Paleofonts V.2

"Paleofonts V. 2" is an *exe package file of c.12 Mb which is unpacked by default in a separate folder, of c. 38 Mb, from where it can be installed into "Windows"'s "Fonts" folder. With additional software and separate procedures, the True Tupe Fonts may work under some "Linux" distributions. The compilation contains 279 paleographic True Type Files plus a brief *pdf document entitled "Explanation", providing some technical and legal statements. The fonts are designed by various authors, whose intellectual property they represent. The credit for the creation of these fonts is all theirs. All of the fonts are free for personal as well as academic use, but not for commercial purposes such as reselling, charging for use, hiring. The fonts embody dozens of ancient scripts that have been (and in some instances few of them are still being used) for millennia around the Mediterranean sea, as well as Northern, Central and Eastern parts of Europe, ancient Egypt and Near and Middle East. FontRenamer

FontRenamer is free and renames truetype font files (*.ttf) to the real name of the typefaces. Meaningful file names are best for easy management. Simply select a folder of font files and click Rename button. »Arial bold italic.ttf« instead of »arialbi.ttf« or »Brush Script.ttf« instead of »brushscn.ttf«. Look_At

This program may be used to look at most any file; text, hex, character, and "interpret" views are available. Text marking can be done in character, line, and block modes; searching may be done in either text or hex modes. Text mode provides a conventional view of text files; lines may be wrapped or not. Look_At is useful for copying selected information from a file; text search and selection is convenient and the file won't be accidentally modified. Hex and Character display modes are provided so that any file can be viewed: text or non-text. An "Interpret" mode is available for CUR, DLL, DRV, EXE, ICO, and TTF files. This mode expands the structure of the file and allows individual sections to be displayed. For registered users printing in the various display formats is available as well as the export of information from a file; icons, cursors and bitmaps may be extracted from EXE and DLL files.
